    In collaboration with Foundations for Divergent Minds and the John Hopkins Disability Research Center, the National Disability Rights Network presents Sunstorm Stories, 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20. Sunstorm Stories aims to center pandemic experiences from people of color with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Storytellers share via Zoom their experiences, ideas, and recommendations for how we can collectively build a more equitable public health care system.

    SON Experts at Aging Workshop

    The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will hold a public workshop on Advancing Diagnostic Excellence for Older Adults on Thursday, July 21 to examine the current scientific landscape and research opportunities within the U.S. health care system. Bloomberg Distinguished Professor Kathy McDonald will lead the panel discussion “Equity in Diagnosis and Strategies to Mitigate Disparities in Older Adults Moderator” and Dean Sarah Szanton will present “Implementing Aging in Place to Reduce Health Disparities and Improve Diagnosis in Older Adults.”
