SOURCE School Supplies Drive Through August 5
Donate new school supplies for Baltimore City Public School students. SOURCE is collecting unused supplies through August 5, including pencils, pens, notebooks, paper, rulers, erasers, pencil sharpeners, highlighters, and other essential items. Co-sponsored by the Student Nurses Association. Supplies will be donated to partnering community-based organizations for distribution to students.

Virtual Nursing Grand Rounds: Holy Cowpox
In honor of National Immunization Month, this grand rounds (11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, August 31) will be co-hosted with the Center for Infectious Disease and Nursing Innovation (CIDNI) at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Dr. Jason Farley will moderate the event, and guest speakers will include postdoctoral fellow Dr. Omeid Heidari and PhD candidates Dominique Guillaume and Keri Geiger. They will discuss roles nurses play in improving vaccine uptake and addressing vaccine hesitancy in their communities. They will also discuss epidemiologic importance of vaccines in efforts to prevent infectious diseases.
The Virtual Nursing Grand Rounds Series will offer attendees one free contact credit upon completion of a post-event quiz after each session.

Walk-ins welcome.

'State of Mental Health in Children and Adolescents'
Children, adolescents, and their parents are all experiencing the stress, anxiety, and emotional toll of living through COVID-19, community violence, inequity, and more. In Episode 16 of the On the Pulse podcast, Debbie Gross, Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Endowed Professor in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, and PhD student Marcus Henderson discuss the current state of child and adolescent mental health and emerging solutions for improving child and adolescent mental health and supporting families in ways that are equitable, accessible, and tailored to the needs of children and families.

2022-23 Baltimore Action Projects
Are you looking for a way to put your knowledge and skills into action working with a community-based organization in 2022-23? Consider applying for Baltimore Action Projects. In partnership with the Bloomberg American Health Initiative, SOURCE, and partnering community-based organizations, Baltimore Action Projects are community-identified projects.
Hopkins graduate students enrolled full time in BSPH or JHSON for 2022-23 are eligible to receive a stipend to work a minimum of 100 hours with partnering organizations. Applications open until Tuesday, August 9 at 11:59 p.m.
