  • Chicago Parent Program Summer Workshop

    The Chicago Parent Program (CPP) will hold a two-day workshop (August 12-13) designed to prepare nurses, early-childhood educators, school-based counselors, parent aides, physicians, and other health care professionals working with parents of children ages 2-5. CPP has been shown to strengthen positive parenting and reduce children’s behavior problems. $800. Tuition remission and scholarships available. Register.

  • Everybody in the Pool!

    Want to swim, or learn how? Join the SOM Swim Club. Practices (with coaches) Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays over the summer (7:15-8:30 a.m. for more experienced swimmers, 8:30-9:15 a.m. for beginners) at the Cooley Center outdoor pool.   • Wear Your ID Badge

    As a reminder, everyone at the SON is required to wear an ID badge or a wristband. If you forget yours, security will sign you in and give you a daily pass.

  • Herbert Pardes Research Award

    The Herbert Pardes Family Award from Research!America recognizes individuals who have demonstrated distinguished leadership and sustained commitment to public engagement and advocacy for research. Submit your nomination no later than Friday, May 17.

  • ANEW Opioid Education Modules

    The Advanced Nursing Education Workforce Program (ANEW) addresses best practices for opioid use for advanced practice nurse educators. Modules are now online.

  • Your Opinion Matters

    How can we improve the SON? Suggestion boxes have been placed in the Business Office (third floor), Faculty and Staff Lounge (fourth floor), and to the right of the elevator on the fifth floor as well as in the Student House. Be heard.

  • Jay’s Café Farewell
